15 militants killed in Pakistan

At least 15 militants were killed Thursday in the country's northwest by security forces, a media report said.

Security forces, backed up by army aircraft, launched an operation in Upper Orakzai to battle militants hiding in the area, reported Xinhua citing a TV report.

Four militants' hideouts were destroyed in the operation and seven militants were injured.

The media report did not mention the exact location and time of the operation.
