CHICAGO, Illinois: The Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the Chicago Federation of Musicians announced over the weekend that they agreed to a new three-year contract to replace a previous agreement that expired the same day.
The CSO's board of trustees and the union's orchestra members must still ratify the deal.
Before agreeing to a contract stipulating a 13.25 percent wage rise over five years, CSO musicians went on a two-day strike in September 2012 and for seven weeks in March and April 2019.
The CSO said they would release details of the deal after ratification.
